Pregnancy brings about many changes to the body, both physical and emotional. A developing baby puts high demands on the body and it can be a stressful time, particularly for new mums.
Specially trained therapists offer a combination of remedial and relaxation massage techniques to help the mum-to-be relax and alleviate symptoms specific to pregnancy, including back pain and fluid retention, allowing her to enjoy this special journey.
We use a special pregnancy bed to make sure you are comfortable during your massage. The bed has a comfortable cushion top with a hollow for the stomach. Having an opportunity to lie on your stomach while pregnant and take the pressure off your back can be a great relief in itself! By communicating with you effectively we will make sure we get right to the heart of the issue, ensuring you and your baby are safe, happy and comfortable.
We also have a high success rate with our induction massage for the final stages of pregnancy .
A combination of massage and the stimulation of acupressure points during the final stages of pregnancy helps to elevate your natural levels of Oxytocin which is the hormone your body naturally produces when relaxed and happy and it can assist your body with the natural process in the final stages of your pregnancy.
Please note: If there are any complications with your pregnancy please ensure your doctor has given you confirmation prior to your massage appointment.
